The Challenge aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature. It is not a competition but a challenge to each student to read, to read more and to read more widely.
The NSW Premier's Reading Challenge will commence in March and conclude in August.
In 2017, all students from Kindergarten to Year 6 will have the opportunity to participate in the Premier's Reading Challenge.
Students in Kindergarten - Year 2 will be read 15 titles listed on the PRC List by Mrs Grasso and their classroom teachers. They are then required to read a further 15 titles at home.
Students from Year 3 - Year 6 will complete the challenge individually.
