Autism Awareness celebrated at Kemps Creek Public School

Student celebrating World Autism Awareness day 2024

In a vibrant celebration of diversity and inclusivity, Kemps Creek Public School marked Autism Awareness Day on April 2nd with a sensational 'Sensory Extravaganza', delighting students with a kaleidoscope of sensory experiences.

The event aimed to raise awareness  among students and staff. As part of the festivities, the school transformed into a playground of textures, colors, and activities tailored to engage and stimulate the senses of all participants.

Mrs Vaeafe, Assistant Principal Inclusion,  expressed her enthusiasm for the event, saying, "It's incredible to see the smiles and excitement on the faces of our students as they engage with the sensory activities. Events like these not only promote understanding of autism but also celebrate the unique strengths and talents of individuals on the spectrum."

The Sensory Extravaganza served as a reminder of the importance of creating inclusive environments where all students feel valued, supported, and understood.
